Dr. Frank M. Raddatz

Dr. Frank M. Raddatz is a publicist and dramaturge at various theatres. He is the artistic director of the Theatre of the Anthropocene. Among others, he has been working in collaboration with Heiner Müller, Frank Castorf, Dimiter Gotscheff, Jannis Kounellis, Theodoros Terzopoulos, Einar Schleef and Tadashi Suzuki. Furthermore, he was artistic director of the international antiquity project “Mania Thebaia” (Düsseldorf/Epidaurus) 2002 and of the “Promethiade Athens – Essen – Istanbul 2010”. From 2007 to May 2014 he worked in the chief editorial office at the magazine “Theater der Zeit”, since then he worked and published for “Lettre International”, Berlin. In addition, he is a member of the ITI (International Theatre Institute) and teaches at various universities, currently at University of Greifswald and Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. He lives in Berlin. Dr. Raddatz published numerous articles on aesthetics, literature and theatre theory. Most recently he was dramaturge at the Berliner Ensemble for Frank Castorf for the play “Galileo Galilei – Theater und die Pest” (2018/19).
